MIchael lightbourne - managing director
Since graduating from Otago University some fifteen years ago, Michael Lightbourne has been fully involved in the printing industry both domesticaly and in the UK performing a variety of sales and management roles.Michael through his experiences at other companies identified ways to improve processes and deliver improved service and satisfaction to clients, but never had complete control to extend and integrate those processes fully. This lead Michael to create Blueprint Ltd in 2005 and since the time of the first operation based in Timaru with 4 employees, Blueprint has grown to some 60 employees and is based in Christchurch offering a seamless and integrated solution incorporating design, print, web media, warehousing and logistics.
Michael says “We were never going to survive just being another printer. We were always going to have to deliver more than Ink on paper to service our wide client base in a rapidly changing business environment”.
Michael believes that the success of the company is built on people and process equally and he is a hand’s on driver of customer service, quality and innovation.
